Another "Shelter in Place" project.
Found yet another neglected racer on the shelf.....Barracuda Modified.
I built this some years ago as a radical offset brass rod chassis.
It ran OK, but nothing to crow about. It was pretty noisey, but since it had a brass sheet for an interior base,
I chalked it up to be that.

Well after taking it apart I discovered I had the motor mounted too low to correctly mesh with the crown gear
after I replaced the MT5 with a Jaws.
I fixed that & reused the rest of the running gear.
Pro-Track wheels, home-cast resin tires, Parma gears & guide with Big Mama braid.

Stripped the body & shortened the rear deck about about 3/16". Moved the rear bumper forward the same amount &
lowered the body just a "schmidgen" in the front.
Moved the interior rearward about 1/8". I think the whole car takes on a much more balanced look this way.
Painted with silver, blue & red Duplicolor metalics.
Printed some graphics on white vinyl, applied those & shot with a coat of clear Ace Hardware enamel.
.........................It's a much better runner now & won't be left behind on road trips any more.

The End.............................Brew
