Worked up a laminate body that runs on the familiar 4 inch style Modified chassis. So this one is compatible with all the regular bodies we run.
It has very short rear overhang, so it may or may not be allowed at your track as it may present an 'unfair advantage' - but probably a pretty minimal effect.
PROTOTYPE WITH NO BARS, NO DRIVER, AND MOCKED UP FOR STANCE:

So this is another Jarzombek Offset asphalt modified - not a Coupe this time, but a Chevette . . .
Something I needed to build really.

HATCHBACK:

FINISHED BODY READY TO MOUNT:

So a word about the real car -
The real car ran around 1980-81 and it used a lot of offset - You can see this one is radically set up for left turns only:

And the other side with the tire tucked into the wheelwell:

The car survives and it is found after decades and it is restored. So now it is a 40-year-old vintage race car . . .
On August 7th 2021, last Summer, there was a big Modified Tour race at Riverhead Raceway - A big money race with the best of the best, fastest of the fast, from all over . . .
As a fun idea they decide to let the 40-year-old race car take a time trial, three laps. It ran 11.612 seconds. It would have easily qualified in the A-Main.
That night they ran the big Modified Tour race feature event and the fastest lap turned during that race by any car on any lap was 11.630 seconds.
The Offset Chevette was radical in its day and it was outlawed around 1982 , but apparently - it was fast.
Even now.
It isn't model car perfect, but it has the look at speed on the slot car track. So it is added to the list.
