  • '56 Ford Mod

Built a '56 Ford Modified this week..(Too hot to play outside)..

Took an hour & a half to build a simple brass rod chassis using a couple of Professor motor mounts front & rear.
Using a Jaws motor with Parma guide & Big Mama braid, Parma crown & pinion.
Paul Gage rear tires, home cast front on Pro-Track wheels.

Had an old casting with the front broken off, so what else would you do with it.
It took 4 afternoons to finish the body.

Only used the roof & rear clip. Sectioned a half inch from the roof & moved it back onto the deck lid.
Made the rest from .030 styrene. (Lots of Bondo)
Duplicolor metalic blue over Duplicolor silver then Duplicolor "Clear Effects" over that.
    home printed vinyl stickers.

Another sharp looking mod for your collection. I like its "simple" chassis & saved its photo. The two brackets you used from PM are Wilde Racing Products drag racing items. They make great products, but I've always thought their guide plates (tongues) were a bit too thin.

Wow, you've really captured the spirit of the old mods there!
This FoMoCo guy likes your build, for sure!
