Ferrari 312P Spyder - made a mold for slosh casting

My conversion of a Ferrari 312P Coupe to a Spyder open cockpit body turned out so well...

...that I wanted to build more so I made a mold for easy replication by slosh casting.

First repop came out just fine.







Body weighs 15 grams and will be around that with trimming, paint and modelling detail to come.

On to a new build.

I wasn't familiar with slush casting so I looked around on the 'net and I'm very interested in the process for making model/slot car bodies. How difficult is the slush casting to "get right"? I guess I should include how difficult was the mold making as well...I've read up on the process in the past but never actually tried it. Your Ferrari body turned out great.

At the beginning, I was hesitant but fortunately saw it being done first-hand by a fellow club member (thanks to the late RetroRacer44). Thought that's not difficult so got more info, asked questions, gathered materials and supplies and dived into it.

Have learned something from every mold making and body casting ever since. The best learning was from doing and not being hung up with making a mistake which I've made plenty!
