  • Lockdown Draggers out

First meet for me in a year and we had a blast at Sick Puppy Raceway..
The two gassers were quick and the Reaper needs to drop a couple teeth but next time, it was enough fun to run. Was on the tree early but they redded further up the ladder.

The Hawaiian I think tied top speed at 214, but finally redlighted against Dickie, that's ok, and, my bad.
I built this JJ for a friend, the body tilts..

Ok , I hope this is the right forum to ask this question , if not place it in the correct one . I have an edge chassis and I am trying to figure the right way to be able to mount a body to it . Any help would be appreciated

I looked up the 'edge'....forgot what it was..
I'll get a few pictures tomorrow of a few of my cars that mount that way.......

Hey, so, Parma sells a 3$ mount kit that utilizes the holes/eyes that are on the upper rails of your chassis

An old timer showed me this for a hardbody..(not me)
rods or tube at right length to span inside the body, make some tabs drilled with the tube diameter, car upside down, all things centered, block up between body and tires for ride height and rake, tack em quick with solder, pull the chassis and complete the solder.
Slip the tabs onto the tubes, chassis into the body, slide the tabs to the hardbody and just lightly glue them to the body. Don't use so much glue you stick the whole dang thing. After lightly wicking the four points, spread the body slightly and lift the chassis out, finish gluing the tabs securely.
There are so many ways,...keep it light!

Thanks for the info FC47 . I also saw where people used straight pins to mount the body also , small hole in the body and push the pin into the brass tube

'We' race em on the Sick Puppy Raceway, it's a 1/8 mile urethane finished braided track with runout, Trackmate timing. It's about 60ft total. Most of the gang live in NH, several sites we set up at between Weare, and Loudon. Urethane tires, no sticky stuff. Were due to race again in June...
