Carrera not selling the "best" D124 cars in the US - wonder what the algorithm is?

Maybe this has been discussed before - sorry. How is Carrera making the decisions about which D124 cars are to be sold in the US market?

In my opinion some of the best D124 (and maybe D132) are not being sold in the US market. I wonder how those decisions are made, and how could we influence those decisions.

The criteria could not be projected sales. European livery race cars like the Mercedes-AMG C63 #22 or Porsche 911 RSR #88, would be hard sells next to the beautiful red Lola T70 #99 or the Gulf Porsche 917K in the US.

You brought up a good point on the 917. The Carrera was a European-only release but the prototype car ran in the US. A US-only release would have more sense.
On the Lola - this is a continuation car that runs in current historic races. I assume Carrera wanted a car that can actually be seen. I’ve seen it in the US so it would be fitting to release it here.

Carrera never releases Gulf liveries in the U.S. Back when Dave Kennedy worked for them, I am pretty sure he said that was due to licensing issues. Carrera is very 'picky' about having all of their ducks in a row when it comes to licensing.

Agree, some of the thought about which cars would be sold in the US is thoughtless. This red, white, blue corvette with an eagle livery was not released in the US. unbelievable . looking for pict
I would think this 1/24 slot car would have sold to 1/24 , 1/32, and model collectors, and corvette owners many more times than just club car in Austria/ Germany areas.
If they made this in 1/32, i would have bought 4 or 5.
