      2019-20 Fall Race 1 Statistics

      Thank you for hosting, Thomas.

Here is the big board for today's race at Tomadago:

And here is the stats summary for this race:

The laps per lane, total laps, total distance, ranking of distance, and portion of total distance relative to the class leader is indicated for each each class run and for the day total. The IOE column indicates the portion of distance to the sum of the best distance in each class (e.g., if a person won all classes, then they would have 100%). The Avg % column indicates the average of the class percentages (e.g., equal weighting of classes).

      Notes:
      1) Some adjustments were made to the results:
      a) Krista's Fly Truck total score was actually 69.8, not 70.
      b) One of David's Fly Classic lap counts was rounded up instead of down like everyone else's. If we want to round up, I can add 0.1 to everyone's heat totals and regenerate the table. That is not a problem.

      2) If we find that the distance for each track is significantly different, we should consider using the percentage so each track is weighted equally. Ideally each class at each track should be equal. Either one would be easy to implement in the spreadsheet.

      3) I calculated the total distance in metres instead of feet. This was to reduce the number of digits in the answers so they are easy to read. The total distance in metres is only significant to 13 metres anyways due to only measuring to 0.1 of a lap and totaling nine such values. The total distance in feet would be accurate to only 44 feet or so.

      4) Using our previous scoring system the average percentage would have been 80% for a three lane track. As you can see, our average for this race was almost 90%. Everyone is being rewarded for how far they were able to drive in the time period. Hopefully this is less frustrating as you can still get a good result even if you come out a few times. I consider this a good result for the club. Hopefully you do too.

      5) Average scale speeds:
      a) Fly Trucks: 216 km/h (highest individual average was 250 km/h in the blue lane), no wonder these things are so hard to handle.
      b) Fly Classics: 258 km/h (highest individual average was 298 km/h in the blue lane).
      c) Racer Group 5: 271 km/h (highest individual average was 305 km/h in the blue lane).

      6) The last chart and these notes were published after the next comment. The comment is in reference to the picture of the white board.

      7) Alan reached 40 lifetime class podiums.

          2019-20 Fall Race 2 Statistics

          Thank you for hosting, Tom.

Here is the big board for today's race at Mugello:

And here is the stats summary for this race:

There were no corrections necessary. I have also updated the Tomadago results with a similar table.

Finally, here are the current fall standings:

Click image for larger version Name:	RMR-2019-20-F2-Mugello-Fall-Standings-3.png Views:	1 Size:	191.1 KB ID:	1119

Aaron extended his top-5 streak to four races. This puts him in a tie for 15th place all-time. Brad is also sitting with a four-race result. With Bob's third in Group C he went to 99 lifetime class podiums. Hopefully he can reach and surpass 100 next time.

              2019-20 Fall Race 3 Statistics

              Thank you for hosting, Alan.

Here is the big board for today's race at Aldorado:

Click image for larger version Name:	RMR-2019-20-F3-Aldorado-Big-Board.jpg Views:	0 Size:	111.8 KB ID:	2473

Here is the stats summary for this race:

Click image for larger version Name:	RMR-2019-20-F3-Aldorado-Race-Results.png Views:	0 Size:	376.3 KB ID:	2474

              Notes:
+ Bob's TSN score was incorrectly added and so his overall results have increased by 0.1 lap.
+ Alan joined the 2km club with his TSN result. That has no correlation with the Mile High Club.
+ Tom's record consecutive win streak of 11 came to an end. He is the only club member to ever record back-to-back wins (at least as far as I know ).

Here are the current fall standings:

Click image for larger version Name:	RMR-2019-20-F3-Aldorado-Fall-Standings.png Views:	0 Size:	203.2 KB ID:	2475

The average distance per round so far spans around 70 metres from 3rd to 6th place (Aaron, Alan, Bob, and Ken). This corresponds to approximately one half lap per heat. That goes to show how close the racing is in the upper mid-pack within the club.

As a possibly interesting (at least to some) result, I compared Bob's, Ken's, Tom's, and my TSN lap counts against those from the Can-Am proxy for the same lanes in which we drove. Bob's car would have been tied for 21st (red lane), Tom's and my cars would have been in 20th (blue lane and yellow lane respectively), and Ken would have driven his to 18th place (green lane). That's with cars with urethane tires that had not done six previous race days and with which we are familiar.

              Notes:
+ Bob reached 100 class podiums with his TransAm result.
+ Matt reached lifetime 50 races.
+ Tom reached 60 race day podiums.
+ Aaron is set to reach 60 races and 20 race podiums.
+ Thomas is set to reach 20 class podiums.
+ Some of the previous ("P") spots are blank for values that were not on the all-time lists from which I was working.

Just looking at the season stats now...very interesting.

Only 10m separate No Hands & Badger? That's crazy after more than 20km raced! And looking at the round averages , six racers averages within 80m of each other?

Seems like parity and the new racing for distance format is doing what we hoped, should come down to the wire.

And what will really make it interesting is that 2 of the last 3 rounds look like they are at two of higher scoring/distance driven tracks, which means the results at round 5 (Mugello) and 7 (Aldorado) will likely count and mix up the results even more!

The lane lengths were measured today and this resulted in changes to the race 2 results. Here is the updated stats summary for that race:

Interesting times going into the Fall season finale.

Looks like No Hands needs a 4.979 km to match Aaron for 3rd overall. VERY do-able given the speed at Aldorado...even with trucks as part of the equation.

Then we have the Badger who needs a 5.503 which compares to his last score at Aldorado is achievable given it’s lower factoring for trucks. so we can have a couple of the old stalwarts making their mark again. Bobby hasn’t been on a season podium since Winter 2017 while Kenny has been jonesing for that elusive season podium to break his cherry.

But wait! There’s more. Fozzy Bear, yes that bear...has a shot. His last round at Aldorado was a few hundred metres off his normal pace. And with the trucks, if he pulled a 5.4km score he replaces a 4.444 which would push his new total right there with AA-Ron’s 3rd place 25.623. Fozzy too has a podium itch, looking regain that form he had in 2017 when he was dominating all muppets in his path.

So, lots to look forward to besides the round 7 racing.

By the way I just did a quick count, this past Sunday’s race, was our 70th official club season race. Wow seems like we just passed race 50, time flies when you’re having fun!
