  • RMR Winter 2020 Round 1 - Mugello “TSNP” Enduro

Reminder that this Sunday, the Winter 2020 season kicks off with TSNP aka Thunderslot/Slot.it/NSR/Policar Classics enduro at Mugello.

Looks like it’ll be either 4 teams of 2 or 3 teams of 3, doors open at 10a. We will balance out the teams based on how folks raced in the Fall season.

Drivers will race their own individual cars in their stints.

Practice time between 10-10:45, including last minute tuning and any set-up assistance to all who ask.

    Racing to start at 10:45a.

Drivers will each run 6 min stints, trading off with teammates for a 18 min heat on each lane. Teams will rotate through lanes, then repeat a second time.

Time to get yer ride on!

        Well the racing is done, here’s a quick overview of today’s cars...8 racers = 2 Slot.its, 2 Thunderslot, 4 NSR

Two man teams were carefully set, condsidering the Fall season results, averages and how people have traditionally raced at Mugello.

So we had #1 seed and track owner Triple T teaming with #9 seed Sarg. 2 Scoops. Going by team Graham Cracker or Two Scoops and a Raisin. Then we had hometown hero and #4 seed Aa-Ron and #6 seed Fozzy Bear teaming up as the underdog team Drive Thru. Next we had the NASCAR fans team of the Moonshine Runners of Badger Bob (avg distance seed #4) and No Hands seed #3. Finally we had the #2 seed Shadow team with #8 seed T2.0 to form the Varsity All Stars who left their letterman jackets at home.

12 min heats per lane per team wee divided into two 6 min stints for each teammate, teams rotated through the lanes twice for a total of 36 min per drivers and 72 min for each team. With the TSNP class, their wasn’t a whole lot of action for the marshals :-)

Due to people not wanting stats I have not posted the individual results and totals.

Wow, over 2800 laps and over 46km driven! Well done everyone 👍🏻

I never realized things were as close as they were, with the Banana Boys aka the team Drive Thru boys within a lap going into the last heat.

Special shout out to Two Scoops my co-driver today for some his most consistent driving, including leading a heat from start to finish.
