Twas the night before Christmas and all through my shack, not a creature was stirring accept on my track. I plugged in the power, put the car in the groove and with new tread around she was ready to move.

She flew through the turns and onto the strait, the gears they were humming the motor sounds great, she went into the tunnel then over the hill, and down through the valley with the greatest of skill.

Then with too much trigger it gave too much juice, the tires flew off and the chassis came loose, as I heard all the noise and all of the clatter I jumped from my bar stool to see what's the matter. And what to my wondering eyes do I see but a busted up slot car just wedged in a tree.

I made some adjustments with duct tape and glue, then back on the track to see what she'll do. I pull on the trigger and gave her some life but she made such a racket.....it almost woke the wife.

I put her on my work bench she was done for the night, I'll fix her up later and make her just right. Then reached my box and pulled out a gem and just like that I was racing again. The night had grown long and the cars they were great as down though the S's and onto the strait, then on through the checkers for just one last time, most of my cars they were running just fine.

I turned off the power with a satisfied sigh and turned off the light as I faded down the hall I yelled , Happy Slotting to all and to all a good night.
