  • TGIF - Ready for the long weekend?

Well another week in the books. Been a busy one.

Due to this mess we have, our Shootout will not happen. Sad, but I know we will see this through and we can all race again soon.

I'll be working on another Carrera tuning video and building the chassis for the 1/25 Push Truck

What about you folks? Any big plans?
    -Harry

            Yeah, looking forward to it.

            Friday night HS football game.
Saturday, buying wife a 2021 Jeep, She doesn’t care about cars, but always wanted a Jeep. Then, going to go look for tires/wheels/lift kit for it.
Sunday, F1 race and nascar race. Set up Scalextric Bahrain Circuit on 12x8 table. I currently have my Mini Z track set up on the table.
Monday, run some slots and tune a little.

I thought about bringing my '12 WK2 Overland to the dealer for a new one... 72 month no int promo sounds too good to be true!

Since retiring there's no difference between days of the week, weekday or weekend, or even holiday weekends. But, since this is traditionally the end of summer I do hope to make some progress on things I need to complete before really cool then cold weather sets in. That means getting the track sections for my new oval banked and ready to join up. If I get my backside in gear that's two days work and I could be doing final sanding and track surface painting next week.

Your wife may have reminded you of all the leftovers in the fridge, but reward yourself by ordering a large pizza with exactly what you want on it. Yes, you'll get greasy fingers all over the controller but so what - it's a holiday weekend. After the 2nd slice you'll turn the best lap yet on your track and it'll feel amazing!

Maybe paint some Cars ( Legends), I still have 3 more to paint. Cut the grass. Cook on the grill, which is not that big of a deal. I cook on the grill every night. Clean the garage, The boys are coming over Wed night to race.

Mowed the lawn today Saturday, hoping to get round 2 of the 2020 RAA proxy in and then playing with some new cars.

Got some chores, grilling and napping in. Drained a few bottles of suds as well. Had a Showdown car the was wrecked and destined for the bin, but decided it needed to ride again. Ready to go for 2021...... just waiting on decals. Click image for larger version
