Years ago Wide World of Sports did a figure 8 race from Islip, NY every year.

Brian,that is a cool set up.Ask me how I know.....
The cars are a lot like the later sizzler type cars Mattel put out a few years back.
They are so fast that they have a hard time staying on track thru the cross over.
Still a very cool set for $30 bucks at wally-world.They have the NASCAR version..
I do like this version better with the ol' rides,,just for the cars alone..

I think this set is better since it looks like it has more pieces that come off the cars than the NASCAR ones. I also prefer the old style cars. I think a digital slot car set with similar crash up cars and an intersection would be a huge hit.

I agree..Here are a couple pictures of the car..Has two pieces plus the driver that will come apart.Target has the single cars for about $8 each,if one can not find this one and has to get the wally world set
It charges quick ,about 10 seconds,and mine will run close to 40 laps.
