I was reading somewhere else that they thought the tub was OK. If that's true, they can probably rebuild it.

Too close to the car in front. No clean air for downforce, and at the crest of the little hill, the turbulent air from the lead car got under the nose.
I hope the driver was okay.

I hope the driver is OK - anyone know?

EDIT - all is good except the car - here's the full read

            That'll buff out, I'm sure.

An incredibly beautiful race car that I expect will be rebuilt because of its history and value. Looking forward to seeing it on the track again.

Exactly. Anything can be rebuilt today. If Porsche can make GT2 pistons from a laser printing machine, they can weld new tubing together to make it whole again!

I guess it will be rebuilt, I don't know how much they are worth but they are certainly an iconic car so someone will do it! Wonder if someone has the body moulds and unique parts, the rest can probably be fabricated, of course there are historic rebuild specialists who specialise in this kind of work these days. There are plenty of notable racing cars that have been rebuilt, supposedly using original components but most likely only a few of the original bits left in them! Lol, maybe two rebuilt versions of that car will turn up
