Does anyone else use logic bending thinking to justify your next purchase? Like, “If I replace the broken glovebox latch on my wife’s car myself instead of taking it to the shop, I can use the money saved to buy the new Thunderslot McLaren.” Or buy assembling her greenhouse kit instead of hiring someone it will leave more $ for scratch building goodies. Things like that. 😄

Sure, If I fix the AC I can cancel next weeks appointment. I did and I will. $45 to the slot car budget.

Yeah man, I spent a bit of time making a die to bend up my own motor mounts. I bought some racing videos, and put the rest towards a new car and parts,.....with what I’m going to save,.... only the Shadow knows how long I can drag this out!

I equate all expenditures with slot cars. A new truck tire equates to 4 slot cars per tire.

The only logic I use when purchasing something is don't let the wife find out about it. Just kidding.

She doesn't care about my slot car addiction because I don't waste money on cigarettes, drugs, tattoos , at bars, on clothes, cable TV, fancy restaurants, vacations, boats, motorcycles or other women.
