Secret Santa at work

At work someone came up the the idea of a Secret Santa gift exchange. Of course on my short list I put "slot car". Of course the person that pulled my name didn't know what a slot car was. I told him a gift card would do.

When I talk about printing out equipment at work on a 3d printer and how I use it for printing out slot cars, I get that "deer stuck in the headlights" look. Then when I start talking about using virtual reality so that the doctors and nurses can put on a set of googles to see the operating room at full scale, then they really get excited. It sure is funny how some people react to different things.

I do my own Secret Santa type of thing at home now. Seems like I end up drawing my own name every time and then feel compelled to be very generous. Plus, I'm always very happy with the outcome.
