    I saw a video recently where a guy used the clear filament by using the 3d pen and extruding on to aluminum foil, folding the foil over the plastic and flattening it with a metal ruler. I haven't tried it yet but it looked good on the video.

    I know this is the print 3D thread, but wouldn't tracing the window opening onto paper and cutting that template on a water bottle (water bottle plastic is curved and really flexable) work better?

    My wife heard me whining about glass a while back.

    Then a roll of "clear" filament shows up. So......

    It's interesting to play with. Curved windscreen won't work....the terrace effect of the layers kills the clarity.

    But.....if I print a thin sheet all in one direction, it's thin enough to form against a body with some hot water.

    So.... it's interesting. Not sure it's a replacement for vacuform. But it's not black windows.......
