  • 3D Printing Used to Help Combat COVID-19

While not directly related to slot car racing, here is a story that shows how one 3D Printer manufacturer (Prusa) is helping to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. In the last day or so, I have seen several other examples of 3D printed parts being made to help address critically needed PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) medical supplies that aren't currently available from traditional sources.

Oh yes, I'm using my little Mini to print out hose adapters for their inventory of respirators that there are no hoses to use at the hospital that I work at. At least I'm able to use my Mini even though I can't seem to get warranty on my TAZ 6 .

I saw that on the news last night. The files were made available online and a lot of individuals with printers were making them and donating them to their local hospitals. Well done.

Has anyone figured out how to make chicken soup and kleenex on those things? How about oreos?
