Printed out an Auto Union from Vlad, aka Nimrod, and after doing several revisions on the chassis I finally put it on the track today and wow it may way its tail easily in corners but it consistently runs low eights on my track. The chassis I tried to mimic the suspension that looked like a Porsche/Volkswagen setup. I had to run an upper frame to stiffen the chassis since the minnow power plant had to be slid in from the side. As usual I used the Slotit gears (10t-25t), and Flag (CH8). The I used the CB Design insert wheels with some printed out spokes that I modeled up. Since I used ABS filament, I reamed out the axle holes front and rear to 0.094 but added some SCC 3/32x3/16 bushings on the rear. For the driver I just painted up the body post and hopefully nobody will notice that I definitely can't paint. The chassis was assembled minus the wheel assemblies and mounted to the body, then the wheels were added. I thought I would try something different with the body this time. Since I always have given the chassis a coat of clear enamel, I did the same thing with the body, then painted the body with the silver acrylic paint and the exhaust with the black acrylic paint. And since the better half got me some new shirts, I saw the plastic piece that goes on the collar and fitted it onto the windshield. Anyway hope you enjoy the pictures.
