Thanks Chappy for helping spread Vlad’s files around. They are good reasonably priced files that print well.

I will put forth the suggestion, that as this generation gets older the market for slot cars will be one of diminishing returns. The demand at some point won’t generate the required return on investments for standard product releases. Our future happiness in this hobby might very well depend on 3D printing and the cottage industry suppliers. In this regard the future is still bright. Already I can find files for every car commercially available, and print it.

I like to think I am reducing my own carbon footprint. Fuel is being used to get the printer and resin to my door, and after that everything is made in house without shipping things halfway around the world. 3D printing is actually bringing the manufacturing back to our shores.

One day we will see an NSR release that will be 80% data for printing, with the consumer supplying his own motor and tires . Files that include the body, wheels, chassis , guide for 3d printing and a graphics file for decals to be laser printed could all be done now. Pay $20, download all the files and build any car you want
