Building a resin copy of the elusive Aurora Mirage M2 Coupe, the hardest to find of the vintage 1/32 Aurora slot car bodies.

Chassis will be the same metal/3D printed FF050 sidewinder motor pod as in my Ferrari 312Ps, another Aurora body resin copy.

I've always liked dark blue rather than the iconic light blue, so that'll be the finish.

Encountered some paint problems on the series of Tamiya blue paints with a few areas remaining wet after a few days. Think it's the resin mix as I did have the problem at the primer stage. Cleaned with alcohol and soap before re-primering but now it's come back.

Moved ahead anyways with brush paint detailing and decaling.

Looks great, Dan! Are you doing your own body masking or are those decals?

@ Audi1 - orange stripes were brush painted with the indispensable aid of Tamiya masking tape especially the 2mm flexible one for curves.

Removed the roundel/number decals as they just didn't look right to me.

The Gulf sponsor decals will do.

Fantastic build as always, Dan. The dark blue looks good on the car, in my opinion. Wish we would see this body again....another rare but excellent looking car.
