Another old heap dragged into the workshop. This is a old MPC 1/32 kit. It will be mounted on a Artin chassis. more to come.

Your wrecker driver looks as old as the truck he is driving!!

Great find, and are the best builds.

This is great. I also have one of these old MPC Ponty's that has been sitting on the work bench for months in a half baked state. This just might be the catalyst I need to pull finger and revisit it. It's mated up to an old Scaley Camaro chassis with Scaley GT40 wheels.

Some progress was made. I cut down the interior and added a highly modified roll cage. I glued in a piece of sheet plastic at the base of the interior too. I also shot a few coats of Fathom Green paint on the body.

I like the cage and interior mod, is that Styrene? What is the roll cage made of?

Thanks. Yes the "floor" is styrene. The roll cage is from another slot car. I had to narrow it and add a couple of sections of bars.

The interior is pretty much finished, I just have to glue the seat back in. The body is all detailed too.

Nice looking car! That interior & roll cage look they're factory items. Keep up the good work.

Well it is done and running! I decided to change the wheels with some from Scalextric. Wheels and tires were trued. Weight has been added to the chassis too. I added some decals to finish up the body.
