Been on the look out for an old Tamiya Fiat Abarth 695 SS kit to slot convert for years. A friend was cleaning out his garage and would you believe he had one gathering dust and was happy to pass it on to me for the pleasure of seeing it built?

Got on it a few months ago and have just now completed the conversion.
Put together one of my usual adjust-o-wheelbase chassis and 3D printed FF050 slimline motor pods.

Very simple design and construction and has been a great runner for so many of my scratch builds.

Rims are CB Design 15 x 8 inserts wheels with cut down resin copies of the kit's wheels. Tires are urethane copies of Ninco F1 fronts trued to the kit's tire diameter.

Wanted to keep as much model detail, so did lots of cutting and fitting to include the dash, interior and rear engine.

Tri-post mounted the body as usual.
Tamiya light grey primer looked right to me, so just covered with semi-gloss clear and decaled.

Particularly pleased with retaining the engine detail so going to leave the engine lid off for now.

Thought it might be floppy in the corners but runs securely and is very driveable on my short and twisty wood track.
Good outcome.
