Hotel parking lot at a team building event. So much for team building, young whip in the flashy green is called out by teammates for "wanting to stand out in a crowd"!

Here is my contribution for the week. A Lotus 56 Turbine I 3D printed. Just got the Indycal decals placed. Decided to go with commercial decals for this one as they were small and required super resolution. I still need to get a windshield on it.

Nice... Are you going to build the other Indy Turbine as well?

I might. Was about to print out a Lancia D50 file the Vlad sent me, but my mono screen failed, so my printer is done until I can get a new screen.

Should be a warranty replacement, but I hear parts might be hard to find

I'm just curious as to what type of work has to be done when the printed car comes out of the printer. I assume some sanding and then the usual prep before painting.

Dan's note below on printing in resin is on the money. He's got that down.
Filament printing depending on how 'good' the file is, as to how much work went into it, and how well your printer is tuned, it can take a bit more sanding to dress out, then between primes, possibly top coat sand to get a crazy wet look finish.

The finish on this car is second to none.

Thanks Dan, 400 sand between top coats is all...

Resin printing produces a shell that is almost ready for paint, A light sanding and a coat of primer

          Cheers

Well, it's that time again, unfortunately, for the garage inspection. Need to have a car in it. That means the workbench is cleaned up and put away and the track is on its side. I can still paint with the airbrush though, so maybe I'll put a coat on the 1:24 I'm building. It's only for a couple days...

                    Photo from this evening.

AMT 1/32 Corvette , Ford Ranchero , and T- Bird.
                    3D print of Porsche 356's.
Mix of figures including 3D printed figures.

                    Thank you,
