  • Can Am Porsche 917 10

Here is my second Porsche 917-10 that I made on my 3D printer. Chassis, Wheels, Body and all the other bits were done on my Anycubic printer. Decals are are fantasy idea I had to come up with a different livery and printed on my laser printer..

Front wheels are printed and include a slot to install an Oring to give me zero grip tires, but no annoying sound as the rubber oring isolates the plastic wheel from the track.

Sidewinder fulcrum Podded chassis with a 25 K motor.

Absolutely amazing that you were able to print the whole car on your 3-D printer. I can’t even begin the amount of work that you put into the build. Congratulations!

Doc PM me and we can talk about printing a car body. Currently I am working on the first 510 . So usually there are some tweaks to make between the body and the interior tray etc. I will post a picture of it when it is finished. At that time I could print an extra body as the tweaking should be all done and could get it to you quickly.

        Cheers

It looks great Dan! The o rings are a pretty clever thought, how do you like em?
      Thanks for posting it up!

I do like the suspension that you put together. That's a nice detail that really adds to the car.
The decals are cool too....I haven't tried that yet. How are the wheels holding up for you? Press on, or set screw? How do you feel about the performance?

Great build, thanks for posting it!

Wheels are push on. I haven’t had much luck with set screws in the resin.

O ring front wheels are working really well. With the printer they are inexpensive and effective

The car works well and is fun to drive

I have yet to find a resin mixture that is reliable for guide use. They work OK at home as I can easily change out broken ones, but can’t trust them for a proxy.

Wow! That is some great craftsmanship and camera work - if it wasn't for the slots in the photo, I would have thought it was a 1:1 image. The Rexall Drug livery is a nice throwback!
