  • Looking for tires - Carrera 1966 Pontiac GTO Custom (Silver)

Recently got my old Carrera slot set (1/32 Evolution) out and got it running. My 66 Pontiac GTO (silver) was in the box, however something must have been pressing on the rear tire (for a long time) and now it's got a huge dent and it is ruined and will not run on the track. Does anyone have any idea where I can find a tire to fit this? Not sure of it's size, but have a pic of it here. Would love to buy either a new set of tires to fit .. or replace the rear axle with tires that will fit. I've searched a number of slot websites, but haven't found any that list this car/tire combo. Thanks for any ideas!!

I could not find anyone that stocks OEM Carrera tires for your car, in any case rubber tires tend to degrade with time so they would be likely to be past their prime. Unless you want to maintain the car's stock appearance you would be better off buying aftermarket silicone or urethane tires that fit your car.

If you want to go with urethane, here is the Paul Gage tire that fits. PGT-22126

NSR Super Grips might have a size that will work, good rubber that lasts.

Why doesn't my car run like that?
