  • Converting Slot.it to SCX Digital with SISP15B chip

Greetings! This is my first post here. The fine folks at Hornby customer service told me to come post on this forum instead of helping themselves, so here I am!

I have some Porsche 962 cars from Slot.it that I've bought over the past few years, and I want to run them on my Scalextric Digital track. Hornby sells a chip (SISP15B) to do this:

With some of the most recognizable brands in the modeling world, simply choose one of your childhood memories and buy a piece of nostalgia today. USA, Modeling kits, model railways, slot car racing

Before I go spending $140 for chips, I was wondering if anyone here had used these. If you have, can you chime in? The package they come in has no instructions/ supporting info at all which is a little concerning.

    Thanks very much in advance!
    Kevin

Do you really mean SCX Digital? SCX had the mechanical guide system for the car instead of using "switching rails" in the track.
If you have Scalextric, you may want to edit your post topic to Scalextric for more feedback. I use Carrera, so I can't offer any additional advice.

See, just shows I'm a slot car noob... Yes, I did mean Scalextric digital. I can't edit the post topic or delete so hope this clears things up.

Welcome to the forum Kevin. Like Eric, I also have Carrera, and I don't know anything about SSD or Oxygen.
However I can point you in the direction of the instructions.
Go to the new slot it website. Address is... slot.it
In the orange banner at the top of the page, go to "Electronics ", in the dropdown menu click "Oxygen". Then I believe the manual you want is "Base 02 Manual". Information on the "B" chip starts on page 10.
        hope this helps,
        Randy

PS. I can't find a search bar on the new site. If anyone knows if there is one, can you post where it is at?
