Was getting ready to order some gears for a Monogram vintage NASCAR improvement ala the old HRW Garage forum.
That article used Slot.It gear: an 11 tooth 6.75mm pinion and a 36 tooth 19mm spur (an 18mm spur was also mentioned).
A later thread about the Goldsmith Plymouth mentioned NSR gears as being less noisy that the Slot. Its (I can confirm how whiney they are). Would the NSR 6.75 pinion mesh better with their 17.5mm or 18.5mm spur using the stock motor/axle mounts?
NSR also has a combo gear package, NSR 6705, for Scalextric and Fly cars. Would this be acceptable?
Or, do better alternatives exist?
Thanks for any help.
