Thanks Bill!
My plan is to do more of each type of video, but life gets in the way sometimes!
The car is fun to drive right out of the box! I hope that the 'new' chassis will be an improvement!
Thanks so much for watching and for your wonderful post!

Fun to see old cars still holding appeal. Nice video too. For me, the chassis was basically a full rebuild at the time. However...I am notoriously picky-Harry

I bought several Monogram CanAm cars a few years ago when Victory Lap Hobbies had them on sale prior to closing. I love them and the biggest problem has been having a few warped chassis where the right front wheel is off the track. I pinned the chassis to a flat metal surface with strong magnets and heated it up in the oven which flattened it out, but when the body was put back on it warped again so I ended up having to leave the rear screws out. In retrospect perhaps it was the body that warped the chassis.
In stock form except for PG tires they run very well on my track and are competitive with HSRR, Fly, GB track, and Carrera cars. Two Slot.It Chaparral 2E's with PG tires are a bit faster but the Monogram cars with stock running gear and guide are much better than they often get credit for. And, they are great looking race cars.
