Do you need to clear coat the decals or are they good as is after they dry?

I always clear coat. Future/Pledge Floor Shine is my usual. Then a coat of wax. But that is just me.

I use Mr Super Clear gloss.

Harry, do you airbrush or dip the Future on? I have never had good luck with it.

Do you apply the clear just over the decals or over the whole body?

Over the whole body imo for an even looking finish.

I take it you would need to either mask off the glass or disassemble the body to clear coat just the body?

The Yellow is Tamiya TS-16 Yellow. For that car I stripped the red Scaley Body in 91% IPA (it only took about 15 minute to remove everything) Then I wash the body off with Dawn dish detergent. I allow it to dry completely. This body was nice and smooth and did not need any sanding. I gave it 2 light cotes of Tamiya white Fine Surface Primer, allow it to dry completely and then apply 3 light cotes of the TS-16.
