  • Pioneer Legends Car

Just purchased one of these. I know they have been around for a while but I’ve been out of the loop for a while. I bought the paint it yourself kit as I’m fairly handy with a spray can. Harry has some great tips on YouTube. Should be a fun project.
These cars were in the planning stages a long time ago. I’m glad they finally made them.

Those that have them like them and say they run great. I'll get a couple eventually! Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

I can hardly contain my enthusiasm waiting to get the car in my hands. I haven’t quite decided how to decorate it. It will definitely be something easy to see. The old eyes aren’t what they used to be.

Seems like the enthusiasm from the crowd died down fairly rapidly. I bought one and it's pretty nice.

Sometimes the enthusiasm does die down quickly. Kind of like popularity of real cars, they sell a bunch to begin with then it dies down. Eventually everyone that wanted one got one then they couldn’t give them away.

I find them bulletproof and easy to whip around Dundee Speedway and have to tinker with them, they just run.

once the tugs of summer end will find more time to create a few more paint schemes

haven’t disappointed the smile factor yet!

Received the Legends today. I noticed on the box it says 5 hours from box to track. Well I’ve had it for 4 hours now and I did get the motor wires soldered on. I don’t want to get in too big of a hurry. There sure are lots of little parts and no instructions. Still haven’t figured out how to paint it. Not a big deal but I’m old and slow. This should be fun.

You can go to Pioneer's web-site and download the instructions.

I was just kidding about the instructions. Looks pretty straight forward. I did install the rear bushings. The guide flag isn’t very well fitting so I ordered a Sloting plus wood guide. I’m trying to work out a paint scheme but nothing definite yet. I’m a big fan of aluminum wheels so that’s a possibility.

I managed to get it painted. I used Tamiya pure red metallic paint. Bushings are installed. I used NSR pinion and sidewinder gears. Guide flag is in and shimmed to proper level. Might order some wheels for it.

A little more progress on the Legends car. Gears all set up. Axles ready for the aluminum wheels and Paul Gage rear tires from Slot Car Corner. Should be pretty neat when finished. Still some minor assembly and painting for the body.
