Who says you can’t make a Carrera competitive with a Slot.it? Not me!!
Some racers were here last night for test and tune. I had a box of scrappers out...one of them coerced/challenged me into doing this Carrera DTM for this weeks races. Challenge accepted! If I can keep the ass end from being faster than the front end, I may just make the podium with it,lol
Little heavy, but it’s right there with the other high end DTM’s in times on our track.
Quite a bit of carving. Cleaned out all the ‘extra’ weight in the chassis. Detached rockers(side aero’s) from chassis, attached to body. Painted and installed Champion Lexan interior.
CG Carrera Guide Adaptor, SLP guide. Slot.it MX16 motor, 10t brass pinion.

I give them all the love I can, but sometimes nothing works. I’ve never had very good luck with Carrera cars. Not sure why.

well, they are heavy cars and the motors aren't exactly world beaters. having said that though, we've had luck with just adding body float and dropping the front end down a little. That makes for some close racing. The Boss's guide change helps too, but then everyone has to do it.
typically, they only run against each other (and they're not alone there!), but are fun to do that with.

I have found it you break the motors in some wd40 for 3 to 4 hours at 5 volts they do pick up some major performance gains over one that has not been touched.

          That's a pretty car
About minus 1/4 oz weight in the body, transferred as about 1/4 oz to the chassis ?
That's around net 90 gram all up. What is the new body weight in that
what weight to the Slot.it ones run at ? Do you run different models with different amount of weight?

Will be interested to hear how it compares on the night

Judging by his race report, it did quite well, lol. A 1st place

Hksk25 - According to Scott's post, he will be racing it this week. Not sure where you got the "1st place" from
"Challenge accepted! If I can keep the ass end from being faster than the front end, I may just make the podium with it,lol"

He only talked about lap times - I presume in testing against what his other cars
