Dave,
Any chance scalextric could make a full straight border and guard rail?
Piecing together half straight sections for a long straightaway stinks. It looks poorly, and gets expensive buying many smaller packages not to mention out of stock.

It's unlikely we'd make a whole new mold for just that piece of track. I do understand what you're saying though...
