The car looks good. How do you find the lights operating - I mean, does it take a long time running to get the lights to come on? Or are they full brightness all the time?
I'm currently fitting about 6 of my cars with lights. I'm trying the Slot.it kits, these that you've used here on the Marcos, Avant Slot kits and kits from Pete on the forum here.

The lights come on full when juice is put to them. Takes about 30 seconds for the capacitor to
load up, then they stay on even when no power is to them. The headlights dim quicker than the tail lights. Have seen the tail lights on some cars stay on for 15-20 minutes! The ZMachine kits in my opinion are the best out there. Xenon LED, very bright. Also have a quick disconnect.

Great! Thanks! I have 2 kits yet to install and I'm wondering how they compare to the Slot.it which I've installed in one of my 935K's. It takes about 45 seconds running the car with the back end up for the lights to be full power and the cap to load up - when you stop the car the rear lights act as a Brake and light up full then die pretty quick. I'm not that fond of it but they throw a ton of light!

I’ve fitted two set so far— superb. Love the blinking lights and simulated exhaust lights. Plan your wiring routes and take it slow. Well worth the effort

Correctomundo, take your time! We’ve installed about 50 of these kits, and they are fantastic!

Thanks! I'm working on 2 NSR GT40 MKII's that are a nightmare - I had to make lenses and cut part of the passenger seat out - there's no room in a GT40 with interior!

                    • #13
Mr. Dingle, wasn’t there enough room in front of the interior for the kit? NSR does make a clear parts package for the GT40 too. But kudos on making lenses, you’re a lot braver than I!

Unfortunately not for these kits, they're rather large. They are amazing kits though, I got them from Peter on the forum. They're definitely my go-to kit for adding lights.

Yes I could've taken the kit apart and customized the install for the space in the car but I didn't want to do that much more work.

Yeah, nice and bright! It's great when my wife and I run under the street lights.
