  • New Pioneer Legend cars purchased!

I went to INASLOT's website looking for replacement interior trays for the Christmas theme Legend cars but ended up purchasing the new liveries. Quite expensive given the tax, currency conversion fee by PayPal, and the shipping cost, but I knew I'd be buying them eventually so I got them.

I'll post photos when they arrive.

They'll be my Father's Day gift from offspring never conceived. No reason I should suffer now for good judgement years ago.

Slothead , the best gifts are the ones you buy for yourself .

Well said. I never have to pretend it was something I wanted or have to fake display whenever I'm around.

Got this in an email from INASLOT (Pioneer's online store) dated today announcing they're being released, so I feel comfortable sharing the photo. My order has already been confirmed.

These will make 6 RTR Legends for me, on my way to a dozen or more.

Now that Pioneer has started down this path with the Gulf liveries, I'm imagining a Sunoco Yellow & Dark Blue Legend with a paint scheme similar to the Penske-Donohue cars.

        Ya know, sorta like this:

My 2 new Legend cars were shipped today by Royal Mail in the UK. No delivery estimate yet and I know it'll take awhile for them to make it across the pond to the states. Hope to have them by next weekend to do light tuning and time trials.

slothead - those look really cool! How do we get the Dealer Special Editions? Can I just order one?

They may only be available to dealers. I'd suggest sending a PM to Jules from HRW, he posts often on threads related to Pioneer cars, or use the contact email page at pioneerslotcars.com.

Dealers get them when they order a case of a particular car. they can't be obtained outside of a dealer. Pretty much every dealer will have one or two of each since most will buy a case just to get the dealer car. Otherwise INASLOT is the go to for the dealer cars.

                    Oh heck yeah!
Why doesn't my car run like that?

I just wish there was a way to get the instruction booklet for the build your own models , I know that they have pdf files but I tried to print them off the web and it didn't work out . To bad Pioneer can't send them out if asked for them .

I had to download Adobe Reader (free) to view the very detailed pdf (file type) Legend assembly instructions from Pioneer. When I did print preview the document was 60 pages long because it 's in landscape mode (sideways from a typical printed page).

If you can't assemble your car near a computer monitor I'd suggest using Adobe Reader to view the downloaded file, but only print the few pages you actually need. If I get more kits I'll assemble them on a table in front of my flat screen monitor.
