If I'm remembering correctly that monogram motor is a candidate for cutting up too. Weak brakes? Been a few years since that car came out so don't hold me to it.
I like the jjg you have. Seems to work great, better than the pin boards.

The car seemed weak when breaking on the track and you are correct, that's most likely due to the motor. However another possibility is the gearing. I am intending to replace the stock crown gear of the Cobra which (I hope) will solve the problem.

I'm pleased that you like the Russ Kit Adjust-O-Jig! It does work quite well and can be used for 1/32 scale and 1/24, 1/25 scale cars!

Yes, those Adjust-o-Jigs are nice....I have one too.
The ceramic works better for soldering but for alignment they are great.
