Rebuilding some earlier cars to pass some time. This is a Lotus 23 that was carved from wood to make a master and then I used that for a silicone mold, so I could pop resin shells.
Rebuilt the chassis using a brass plate and repowered the car in a sidewinder layout with twin cans. Two Mineabea BARC motors. This allows lots of room for a full interior even in a small car like this
Wheels are Cox Mag wheels
Driver is made out of white scenic foam sheet cut to shape and I added a resin head.
Seats are also built out of scenic foam. Painted and then had pleat lines cut into them
Seat belts are made by painting a thin coat of acrylic craft paint on parchment paper and allowing it to dry. This paint can then be removed from the parchment paper in a sheet. I then cut it into strips and position the belts where required. A thin wash of decal setting solution is used like glue to position the belts.
