  • Legends 37 Chevy Pioneer Build (Boyz finished & thank Slothead for his HRW donation)

Driving the Pioneer Legend cars reminds me of the same way I felt when I drove the first T/A Scally and Pioneer cars.

They are always fun to drive, very durable and reliable!

So when Slothead Joe didn't have the time to build a couple he ordered, the Boyz purchased them from Joe.

Been flipping thru a ton of Legend pictures on the internet, and have a good idea of the color combo and decals.

Since the kit is all in pieces, after a bath, we applied the primer.

The Boyz, drilled the vents into the front fenders for a more 3D feel.

I will be keeping an eye on this topic because I have both kits . Was thinking of doing one like the Counts Customs Legend racer

The kits are in the best hands possible. Turn the Boyz loose and let 'em work their magic!

First up in the two tone paint scheme is the Tamaya Blue Violet TS-27.

          Yep it really pops!!!

Can't wait for it to dry and add the contrast shade!

Very nice start coat, I like being able to guess what will come next. Looking forward to being wrong.

Looking good so far Dundee. I love the look of the wheels on these kits. Might have to order a bucket full 'cos they'd look good on a lot of the cars I put together.

Boyz worked on the interior today.

A $4.99 set of metallic markers was all that was needed to "suit-up" the driver and accent parts within the cockpit.

Driver is less detailed in the kit version but as you will see once buckled in not an issue!!

Boyz looked at lots of color charts and picked Pearl Light Red TS-59 from Tamaya to make this 37 Chevy stand out at Dundee Speedway!!

Learned the hard lesson to tape just before you paint, as the tape went on and the 1:1 job got in the way and the tape must have dried, so we will need some major touch-ups!!

I was like what the heck. I know you as a better painter and you do quality work. But stuff happens. Back to the paint booth.
