Well here we are -- a little more than two weeks away from the first race of the IHSR (Interstate Home Slot Racers) 2022-2023 season!
Glen will host the event, September 3rd, on his recently completed home track, the 'Zen Raceway' in Severna Park Maryland.
The photos below were taken at the previous race on June 25th. The newest version of the Zen Raceway replaces Glen's earlier plastic raceway. With the elevation changes and a tricky changing-radius underpass it has a number of challenging aspects.

The IHSR racing classes require authetic-looking reproductions of prototypical racing cars. The field of the 1963-1974 "Classic" cars at Glen's earlier event, below, show off some nicely turned-out models.

If you'd like to attend Glen's race, as a competitor or just as a spectator, send me an email as '[email protected]'. I'll fill you in on the details.
I am attaching the official IHSR classes and rules for the new season. But if you want to come see what we are about you don't need to have a set of cars all prepped and ready. The club has a tradition of supplying loaner cars for new folks who want to compete. And those loaner cars have been prepared by some of our most talented racers. It isn't unheard of for a first-timer driving a loaner car to score a podium finish!
