If you are interested in learning more about our club, it is all at our website:
https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/inte...lotracingclub/
You'll find lots of race reports from past seasons, including many photos of our tracks and members. You'll also find the just-published car classifications and rules.
In brief, we race for fun. No entry fees, no championship points, rarely any tech inspections. We're all friends here and don't take the racing any more seriously than we should.
For new members we provide loaner cars -- acknowledging that building a stable of cars for our classes doesn't happen overnight. But since those loaner cars are often provided by 'Doc' Sherman they are quick! Podium finishes are not unheard of. And yes, we have loaner controllers too.
Almost all of our racing is done on custom-built MDF tracks. We only race analog (not digital) cars. We race without traction magnets. We have classes for largely-out-of-the-box cars and classes for highly-modified and home-built cars. All of our classes specify unmodified motors. We race with rubber, urethane and foam tires -- no silicones.
I am happy to talk to any prospective members, or just folks who want to show up and watch. (Fat chance. We'll lend you a car and get you out onto the track!) You can contact me at [email protected].
FYI, Supertech! is a test/tune/tutorial event hosted by our undisputed Master of Tuning 'Doc' Sherman. No formal racing that day -- tech is the focus.
Sherm is also a Master Modeler. Beautiful, beautiful cars. Come learn from him.
