  • 132 John Player Special Chaparral 2 C

I have built a dozen Chaparrals over the past while. After so many white cars with the same livery I decided to do up fantasy scheme

The body is a resin printed 2C in what I think is in it’s final revision

          You know......it's black.......
          I want to hate it, because it's wrong.....but I don't.

It's really fantastic......It looks better each time I see it. Very inspired.

            Thanks for the comments guys.

Chappy. I have built a dozen of these and 11 carry the traditional livery. I just had to try one in some other color than white. I know it is a sacrilege to have a black Chaparral, but it looks sweet in this fantasy JPS scheme.

Yes, but now that you've wandered off the straight-and-narrow path can you be constrained, or is there a red Chaparral in your future? Maybe with Coke as the sponsor. Or a green David Piper Chaparral? Or an orange and brown Team Gunston Chaparral? Oh dear heavens.

When I was resin casting Cox 2E bodies, I cast a red one and set it up to be a runner.

                I like it! Great job.
I for one love to do fantasy liveries. I have not been constrained by modeling a specific historic car. Quite often I use a racing team scheme I like, but use whatever decals I have to fill it out. It works for me and that’s the important part to me.
looking forward to other ‘sacrilegious’ liveries.

I like the gold touches where chrome would normally be, and it of course works great with the JPS livery.
Nicely done, and... Enjoy! -- Ernie

I love Chapparals and I have no issue with fantasy liveries. How long before we see a Gulf or a Martini?

Makes you wonder what a collaboration between Hall and Chapman would’ve yielded.
