My wing was not glued in either. Although, it is locked in pretty well - maybe for crash survivability?

Mine is the same. What a great looking car!

I don't think Carrera has ever glued their wings on.

I've never seen a rear spoiler glued on a Carrera car either? Carrera sells them separately in "spare parts" so they are meant to be easily replaced. You're supposed to take them off before racing, but that looks weird, I have Shoo-Goo for repairs. "It is always better to look good than it is to feel good"

The Carrera C8.R isn't much different than the C7.R IMO, throw some PG urethane tires and a Slotinvasion guide on and it's ready to go, it growls like the C7's too.

I just got my C8's, one yellow, one silver. These cars are beautiful! I almost can't wait to rip one apart and prepare it to battle Jim at Silicon Valley Speedway. This is going to be epic!

They'd fly off the shelves if they were $38 in the UK.

I decided to go with the silver version. It looks great, and Carrera has really captured the look of the car accurately. As someone mentioned, this car actually has a bit of a low end growl on the track instead of a high pitched whine - sounds great!
