  • Sebring Chassis (Monogram- MRRC)

I have a drawer full of these cars because they made such great looking bodies, but I've never been a fan of the slim line motors. We had a club member, the late Gerry (Goose) Gosset who could tune these so you felt like you were driving a Slot It around the track.
Due to being stuck at home, (COVID made it inside the family circle) I've been fooling with this car. I originally built it on an old Monogram brass chassis to go with the coupe but the old motor finally gave up the ghost, so I found an extra Sebring chassis in the spares drawer.
This probably isn't the best body to work with but I figured that If I can make this run very well then the Chaparrals and Porsche 910s will be a piece of cake. I don't know if I'll ever get it as smooth as Goose might have but I think I'm Click image for larger version Name:	271891847_10224497640083100_5240588070581355618_n (1).jpg Views:	0 Size:	182.8 KB ID:	143078 Click image for larger version Name:	271986545_10224497641003123_639991461171004598_n.jpg Views:	0 Size:	220.6 KB ID:	143079 Click image for larger version Name:	20200829_142815~2.jpg Views:	0 Size:	782.9 KB ID:	143077 getting awfully close.

How did you get the stock wheels off the axle of the Sebring chassis? I have been trying but they do not budge. I am afraid the only way they will come off is with them broken.

Typically I just grab each wheel in a set of pliers and gently twist. They do occasionally break which is why I replace most of them with set screw wheels.
