Good Day folks. I have some cool news for everyone. I contacted Marco at The Area71 Slotcars regarding getting some dimensions for some of their slot cars that would fit into our Trans Am U2.5 proxy. In the course of conversation we discussed my desire to have some of his 3D printed cars included in the proxy if they fit dimensionally. Some of them do!
The conversation then switched to Marco offering to provide me with one of his Ferrari Dino "Sebring 69" cars to me as a thank you for my thoughtfulness. I told him I'd rather use it as a prize for the proxy instead if that was ok with him. That's when things took a leap. He switched that thought up to volunteering to provide a couple of prizes to our proxy. The first one is for the winner of the series. He will provide a custom Porsche 911 Singer as a one off with stamping inside the car body with, the name of the event, first place and the name of the winner. On top of that he will also provide a car to be used for a random draw of all all entrants that are using one of The Area71 Slotcars. To qualify for the random draw the car must pass the technical inspection and indeed be eligible to compete in our series. The random draw will be made some time after the technical inspection near the beginning of the event.
In full disclosure he is still planning on providing me with a Dino as well, despite my attempts to hand it off.
If you have not yet decided if you're going to enter the Proxy, here's one reason why you should buy a car from The Area71 Slotcars and enter the event. See the Proxy Forum for more rules which should all be posted on Feb 1. 2022. The event start is set for July 1, 2022 so everyone has lots of time to acquire one of their class legal cars and build it up.
I posted this in the 1/32 forum for a couple of reasons. First I wanted a potentially larger audience to be aware of the generosity of Marco at The Area71 Slotcars and to hopefully encourage more folks to give a try at Proxy racing. There is lots of information in the Trans Am Proxy Forum with regards to previous years and iterations of this event. So please check it out.

I'd like to thank Marco for his generosity in supporting our events.
