Track Layout Help

Guys, I’ve been running this layout which I enjoy, but was wondering before I start to make it permanent with scenery, does this change makes sense?

I always want a modified figure 8 design and that certainly qualifies. It makes equalizing the lane lengths a lot easier. However, I have found that the section of track that can't be seen should be straight or it becomes a point where cars frequently de-slot. These may not be factors on a two lane digital track. In any case, elevation changes add a little variety.
