Well...............Richard wanted to play the game so, I hooked him up today. Another winged car got a nose job and chassis swap. I went ahead and fine tuned the wheels today on 3 cars. I think they turned pretty good. I do have original factory copies set aside, so I'm just having a creative moment.
I simply sprayed the cb wheels with a solid color, and then use the tire razor to spin the wheel as I applied a cotton swab with alcohol to remove the paint from the outer edge of the rim. The result............... Beauty rings.Click image for larger version

Does this mean that for each of those very nice wingless stock cars you now have a matching faceless (no grille) body? I'd like to do the same but don't want to orphan a chassis and body to do do.

Yes Slothead I'm sorry I do..
The left over bodies can be painted up as fairground racers, or sportsmen series or whatever. I have cut thin k&s tin for grills, and it makes for an interesting look. No light's, just a piece of tin for a grill.

I can probably sell the faceless bodies, but I always feel I can make something out of them. The trade off for me is having something different, and that means a lot to me
btw I found some resin grills in my stash if you are interested. I got them from smilin Rays a few years back I think I had $10 in a grill/front bumper set.

I may have a few resin copies left of the RR front grill and bumper.
