It a pretty easy swap I bought a bunch of the #7 Stott cars. Mainly for the grills, boxes and and running gears. It is a simple swap. Undo the nose cone on the nelson car, and the Plymouth grill and bumper fit all the holes . One set of holes fits the grill, and the other set of holes fits the bumper mount.

I'd love to do what you did, but wouldn't have the heart to sacrifice a Stott car. I have one still in the case and would be willing to get another, but the body without a grill and bumper would haunt me. Even after repainting it it'd be faceless.
If anyone has some spare Carrera classic NASCAR body parts available please let me know.Last edited by slothead; October 11, 2021, 07:29 PM.

Now THAT is so very cool! I never cared for the "Superbird/Daytona" cars. LOVE the change!
Wasn't there a dude here that offered resin grill/bumper castings to do that very thing to the Bird/'Tona cars?
I might have dreamed that, though. You never know once you get to be my age. 😁

Thanks Andre
You are correct about the resin grills and bumpers. I bought a few, but was told that would be it. The maker told me there were too many grills not coming out like they should. He had to make 10 to get 1 good one. Somewhere in all my junk I have his name. If I find it, I will pass it on
Did you get my pm I sent you Sunday? Eric
