  • What SCREWS ??

    Will be tackling my first Scratchbuild soon ! But what I need to know is : What SCREWS (size and length) do I need to attach Piranha PSM21 Short Can Motor, to JK D321 Motor Bracket ?? Thanks, in advance !

    The same screws as all the other motors, the self tappers work the best.

      I thought motor screws were M2.

          I use M2 Torx screws that are 2mm longer than the thickness of the motor mount. 2mm will give you 5 threads in the motor can.

            Depending on what you're building sometimes you have to use just the bottom hole in the motor, it is slightly smaller than the others and that is where the self tappers will be needed, also for some motors that is the only hole in the can and. They will also work in the larger holes too, but if you want to buy several sizes that's okay too. You can never have too many screws.

            Agree with the CH41 screws.
            Motor mount can be a variable. I had some screws for use with a plastic pod and motor.
            When I used those screws with a brass motor mount , the screws hit the armature.
            resolved with a washer for each screw.

              Guess I’m different I run a 2-56 tap through the hole and use stainless machine screws with lock washers
