  • Still amazes me how well Fly Trucks run

Video clip of racing various classes at MID-BC on Sunday. Of particular note it's amazing how well these tuned Fly Trucks can run. High center of gravity too...wow!

One of the guys in my club has a few Fly trucks, we run one IROC style race each week and at least a couple of times a year we run the trucks.

Raced them in Philly for a national race all nonmagnet and yes they do run great and suprising how well. After awhile you can start pushing them and they are a lot of fun.

I've an old Buggyra that runs like a champ. I've got aftermarket wheels (BRM) with dual silicone tires on the back and quite a bit of lead is required to offset the high CG. Also, I run the cab quite loose. Don't forget to raise your timing bridges!

Some years back we hosted a proxy race for Fly trucks at Area 51. We had no problems with a timing bridge because the track uses dead strips, but the track itself has a bridge and one lane was a very close fit.
