  • The New Batmobile Has A Robin, and Taillights

The Polar Lights Batmobile Robin figure fits in the new Scalextric car fine. It just doesn't look right without The Boy Blunder riding Shotgun IMO. It comes with two Robin figures, the one pulling the Bat_U Turn handle won't work, use that one for the model, if 25-35 bucks for the model is worth a Robin.

Installed taillights and a Carrera decoder. The chip was easy, I picked up some 4 pin pst female connectors to plug into the Scalextric harness, makes it a lot easier and no pick up or motor wire cutting. The decoder fits like a glove, tons of room. The lights were a pain, the mounting posts are right behind them which doesn't make opening up holes very easy. The surface there is textured like it should of been painted red I noticed. The thing in the middle is an intake so it really isn't lit but maybe. I do know it needs a Gotham City license plate, lit so it complies with all laws, must be a good Gotham City citizen.Click image for larger version

I'll never understand it, I guess. I intentionally skipped comics if he played a big part in the adventure. Still can't stand him. I stopped watching the show because I was sick of him.

Oh...come on Rob. You are like the Robin to Kurt. All heroes need a little sidekick

I can't believe I missed this thread building further for a year and a half!!! Kurt & Jenny just left to go home from their annual visit to and for me (also her parents and grandparents, but I know who they really love...)

Holy empty Bat-passenger seat! To each their Bat-own.
If there was no TV Robin there would be no holy-anything except water, cow, and Toledo in the english lexicon, got to give him credit for that anyway.
If I could find a Julie Newmar passenger Catwoman figure Robin would be riding the bus back to stately Wayne Manor.

I guess we need to pool our money and get Robin from a model kit and make some copies. Not a real easy mold, but probably doable.

          Blue,

Do you have a link for where you bought it - is it the 1/25 scale one? Thanks for any further info.

I think I have one in the barn. I just hope he didn't find Batgirl.

If he found Batgirl in the barn there just might be batkids now , might need to make a Batwagon or a Bat mini-van for the family

Bluevista - that looks great. Well done.

I am not a fan of Robin, but agree the passenger seat looks empty without him. If someone is making a mold and creating scale Robin figures for this car, I am interested and would buy one. Thanks RvE

Gee, the Boy Wonder seems to be taking it on the chin from you guys. Here's a tribute to the young man (now 75 years old).

He's a hero of mine for the singular reason he got to spend time with Cat Woman, Julie Newmar.

On January 9, 2020, Ward received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Put that in your Bat Pipe and smoke it!

Anything with Julie Newmar, couldn't get better than that. Talk about a tall drink of water. I've had a crush on her since seeing her on a show called 'My Living Doll' with Bob Cummings that came on in 1964. Julie played a sultry humanlike android (robot). Even though it was in black and white I've always attributed my love of redheads to Julie Newmar.

LOL like the early Superman show watching the Batman TV show now is actually quite a laugh. Its funny how lame they both were. Neither Batman and Robin or Superman look like super heroes.
I never much cared for Robin either. I am not sure why Scalextric left him out though. Maybe their licence with DC comics meant that couldn't be included.

                Dangermouse to the rescue.

Has anyone found a source for a Robin figure that fits in the Scalextric Batmobile? Thanks RvE
