Sideways Ford GTE

Just received a Sideways white kit Ford GTE from Mike at Cloverleafracing. Thanks Mike for the fast courteous service. Initial first impression is man is this car low. Casting of the plastic body is very good and quite light weight. Quality control is lacking as there was no grub screw in either the crown gear nor the axle stopper. Everything else is very Sideways centric. Particular interest was a very well casted hard red motor pod set in both Evo and Slotit screw patterns. As I held it in hand it reminded me of their Huracan. Wheelbase and track are nearly identical.
Look forward to our builders comments and if this could be a car of interest for the GT3 proxy in 2022.

Why do I get the sinking feeling that the next GT Proxy is going to be dominated by Ford GTEs?

I recently purchased a Huracan (Orange #27) and very impressed with it, but this could be what I'm looking for as a GT3 entry, nice and low and wide

This is a really nice car, easily as good as, if not better than, the Huracan. As Dale mentioned, the red pod is a definite plus.

Thanks for the compliments! To answer the questions:

I print my own decals, mostly on a very thin white vinyl sheet from Papilio, I'll try to find the details.

The window comes painted with the big Ford logo, with a piece of black tape over it that I pulled off.

Was fiddling with sidewinder pods scale auto and slot.it and you will have an adventure trying to get it to fit in without some serious surgery. You will need to sand down the end bell motor mount and realign gears. It can be done just practice patience. Good luck…

Gone gone sold. Had long day at work and when I finally got home logged on the computer and they were sold out. Those Went faster than lifejackets on the titanic.
