Does anyone know if these can be made to run on the regular Carrera track?

Are you meaning regular 1/32-1/24 track? If yes I do it all the time.Performance is weak but good enough for the grand kids (4-8 yrs) enjoyment. They'd much rather play with Tow Mater or some of the Disney "Cars". I purchased a 1/43 set at a Hobby Lobby clearance, for creating a static display. Grand kids automatically wanted to run them on the big track, and they do run. They have some performance issues maintaining track contact (guides shallow and narrow) but for a 5 year old its big time stuff to have Lighting McQueen come to life. I now have about a dozen cars because for the price (one third) of a cheap regular car its worth the youngest kids training and enjoyment.

I scored three of these chassis and ruff molded body's awhile ago, the chassis are TORMO . I had a quick look on the net found this company is in Argentina and have quite a lot of 1:32 cars , hand painted Lexan body's foam wheels . I've mounted a hard body on one of the chassis and with a bit of tuning run ok on my scally sports track check out the site .

  • Independent Turning Front Wheels?
    by glasshorsevh
I have been wondering about something and I’m hoping to get some input from the HRW members.

I have put effort into having independent turning front wheels in my proxy racers thinking that this improves cornering ability, but lately I’ve been questioning this theory. It seems to me that a slot car naturally has an oversteer condition because of the guide flag anchoring the front end. One might think that having non-independent turning front would put some understeer into the car...

Adding more Scalextric Classic Trans-Am models to my collection is basically automatic. This series is one of the longest running in our hobby and it just never gets old. There is ALWAYS room for more American Iron!

Sometimes the schemes are just better than others. This IS one of those times.

Both have been modeled very well to my eyes. Nothing is ever perfect, but they represent the 1:1 cars well enough for me.

I just cannot get enough of these...
